Torgon Natur'Art

Torgon Tourisme, in partnership with the Commune de Vionnaz, has launched a new "Natur'Art" concept for the August 1, 2020 festivities. Three nationally renowned artists, LPVDA, Tribal Cabane and Simon Berger, created "live" sculptures in the heart of nature. Visitors to the resort had the opportunity not only to admire their work and the evolution of the sculptures from July 23 to August 1, but also to share in the experience.

The work by Swiss artist LPVDA, "Chacun son point de vue", is located on the facades of a barn on Chemin des Fours. The second work, "NéFi", by Swiss artists Tribal Cabane, is located in the same area, overlooking the Couvert communal des Vieilles in Torgon. Finally, the third and last work, "Laisser pousser" by Swiss-German artist Simon Berger, is located on the Place du Village in Vionnaz.
Natur'Art's concept was simple : to organize an original August 1st event that would, of course, comply with the safety rules put in place to combat COVID-19.
The idea for the project grew out of a desire to create a permanent exhibition in the heart of nature, accessible to all, not only during this uncertain period, but for the long term. These artistic creations were the perfect solution for maintaining this long-awaited national holiday while ensuring the smooth running of the event, with a minimum of risk.
Although COVID-19 is at the heart of the concept, Natur'Art is a project that, hopefully, will continue to grow each year, with the ultimate aim of becoming one of the resort's star attractions : a Land'Art festival, each year welcoming new artists.
